Mr BadDragon suffered the first defeat in his career against U.S. Vibonese Calcio bring to an end his teams eight match unbeaten run. Looking a little less assured, The Delfini also drew two matches before coming back with a solid win against G.S. Mazara 1946.

We were not clinical enough when it mattered, yet we find ourselves up near the top of the table after eight games. I am hoppy with the performance and feel confident that we will achieve our boards target of a solid mid table finish this season.
As it happened
Hard to believe we will set a new club record in our first few weeks.
Serie D – Ginome I – Match 5/36
Another opponent, another chance to win! The bookies have made us slight favourites so I am quietly confident.
Botti is back for his first game of the season. I expect him to last only 60 minutes this game.
We didn’t put in a good performance and were somewhat lucky to escape with a draw.
They looked more dangerous out wide and on the break. Our lack of pace up front was also a factor.
Serie D – Ginome I – Match 6/36
We are away at Vigor Lamezia Calcio and while they are slight favourites I feel confident that we can do well. I will certainly be looking for us to put in a better performance.
I am setting up with a slightly more defensive alignment with us set up to play on the counter.
Once again we showed some character as we came from behind to secure a hard fought draw.
We were second best on the day, but shared the spoils. All in all a good result.
Our victory was not achieved without a cost. Stefano Pilloni will be out for a month after he picked up a foot injury.
This youngster looks reasonably good so I decided to bring him in for a closer look.
Serie D – Ginome I – Match 7/36
The media seems to believe that we have an easy game coming up against U.S. Vibonese Calcio. U.S. Vibonese Calcio are in mid table and I am not taking things lightly.
We change things up and go with two strikers. Martinelli comes in for the injured Pilloni.
We blew a good chance, hitting the woodwork three times. As we chased the game they profited from a mistake and scored a late winner.
Once again our lack of penetration from deep is worrying. We are not quick enough to pounce and allow the opposition to get set.
Serie D – Ginome I – Match 8/36
The Dolphin meets the Sea Horse and Budgie! G.S. Mazara 1946 sit in 17th place and are already in a relegation fight.
We line up in the same formation as normal. Carvarllo continues to keep out Botti.
We were comfortably ahead only to throw the lead away with two soft goals in a minute. Still we dug deep and came back to get the win.
The graph shows out near total dominance today.
Not the best series of results, however we still picked up five points which keeps us in the hunt.
We sit on top again, however the teams below us have games in hand.
Next up we face the a key rival in Gelbison, followed by three teams we should do well against.
